1861 F33A (Gouby J+g; Freeman 6+G) – 8 over 6 (R18)
The underlying 6 is clearly visible on the left of the 8 and the right hand “1” is distinctly lower on all known specimens.
In the 2003 edition of his book “The Early British Bronze ‘Bun’ Pennies 1860 to 1865 and their Varieties”, John Jerrams’ census (up to September 2001) recorded 4 specimens. Michael Gouby knew of 5 specimens but I already have details of 10 on this website
