Obverses P and R (Freeman 11 and 12) are very similar and one of the easiest ways to distinguish between them is the fact that R & I of BRITT do not touch at the base & TT do not touch at the top on Obverse P, whereas and R & I of BRITT do touch at the base & TT do touch at the top on Obverse R (see below).
Freeman notes in footnote 23 that “specimens of F114 may have a minute trace of a ‘1’
